Chastain Park Conservancy Request for Qualification (RFQ) for General Contracting Services
The Chastain Park Conservancy (CPC) is a 501.c.3 with a mission to restore, enhance, maintain and preserve Chastain Park. The Chastain Park Master Plan was approved in March 2008 to establish the long term vision for Chastain Park. The capital improvement initiatives in the Master Plan total approximately $36MM. Chastain Park is a regional park that hosts nearly 2 million visitors per year to the amphitheatre, youth sports, tennis, pool, horse park, arts center, private school and golf course.
The purpose of this RFQ is to seek a General Contractor for capital improvements to The Chastain Park Tennis Center in accordance with the Master Plan. A Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued approximately 30 days after qualification with project specific details and requested response timing.
The first phase of work involves improvements to the Tennis Center Complex including demolition of the existing building and erection of a new Tennis Center building along with associated site work, temporary facilities, utilities and supporting amenities. All work is to be completed by December 31, 2008. The tennis center project is estimated to be less than $1MM total.
Please provide the following information to Mr. Mark Root, Executive Director, CPC no later than July 9, 2008.
- A brief history of your firm and its principals.
- Key individuals to be assigned to the project along with their respective roles and responsibilities.
- Prior experience in providing program management services for similar parks and recreational projects.
- Prior experience completing parks and recreational projects.
- A description of your approach to program management services and how you would successfully implement your program plan.
- Your experience with sustainable design and the USGBC’s LEED rating system.
- Your proposed compensation structure for additive change orders increasing the project scope.
- Describe your firms preferred approach to permitting.
- Your proposed compensation structure for deductive change orders reducing the project scope.
- Describe what about your firm differentiates you from the competition and uniquely qualifies you for this project assignment.
