Walk Chastain Construction Timeline Featured

On Monday, May 18, the Chastain Park Conservancy began construction on Walk Chastain, the .9 mile widening of the PATH along Powers Ferry Road. Upon completion of the #1 project from the 2008 Atlanta City Council approved Chastain Park Master Plan, the sidewalk will not only by safer, but more enjoyable for all who use it. While the estimated project time is 286 days, we plan to expedite the process and make it as seamless as possible. In other words, our goal is to minimize inconvenience to you, our valued Chastain Park neighbor. The project will be built in three phases as follows:

Phase 1: INFRASTRUCTURE PREPARATION PROJECT SEGMENT - 62 days (Mid-May through early July)

Phase 2: UTILITY RELOCATION PROJECT SEGMENT - 173 days (Mid-July through March 2016)

Phase 3: SIDEWALK AND LANDSCAPING DESIGN PROJECT SEGMENT - 83 days (Mid-March 2016 through early July 2016)

We'd like to thank our partners, stakeholders, and members for making this vision become a reality. We are also most appreciative of the construction management services led by the PATH Foundation.
